Why the workup
Four conditions, one symptom.
Most people arriving with hair fall have one of four things, and they need opposite treatments. Telogen effluvium — a shed following a fever, a surgery, a crash diet or childbirth — resolves on its own once the cause is corrected. Pattern hair loss is progressive and needs long-term therapy.
