The distinction worth making
A technique, sold as though it were a product.
Mesotherapy describes how something is administered — many superficial injections across an area — not what is administered. Two clinics offering “mesotherapy” may be injecting completely different things, with completely different evidence behind them and completely different results.
That is why the useful conversation is about contents. Hyaluronic acid mesotherapy for skin hydration and quality has a reasonable rationale and overlaps with what is sold as a skin booster. Cocktails of vitamins, amino acids and plant extracts vary from plausible to entirely unstudied, and the further a formulation gets from something with published data, the less anyone can tell you about what to expect.

The last row is deliberate. Injection lipolysis is widely marketed in India and the evidence for the formulations commonly used does not support the claims made for them.
Before you book anywhere
Three questions worth asking.
What exactly is being injected, and is it a licensed product for this use? Who is injecting it? And what happens if there is no change — is there a point at which the course stops, or does it simply continue?
These are unglamorous questions and they filter out most of what goes wrong with mesotherapy. Injecting unlicensed cocktails into skin causes the granulomas and prolonged inflammation that occasionally appear in the literature, and those are far harder to treat than the concern that prompted the treatment.

Is mesotherapy the same as skin boosters?
They overlap. Skin boosters are usually a specific licensed hyaluronic acid product injected for hydration and quality. Mesotherapy is the broader technique and may deliver anything from that same hyaluronic acid to an unstudied cocktail — which is why the contents matter more than the label.
How many sessions will I need?
A course spaced across weeks rather than one treatment, with the number set by response. There is a review point at which the course either continues for a stated reason or stops.
Does mesotherapy work for hair loss?
As an adjunct at most. What determines the outcome in hair loss is identifying the cause and treating it properly. Scalp injections added to that are reasonable; scalp injections instead of it are not.
